Walking Contradiction

What’s one to do
What am I to think
I don’t pray
Yet I’m on my knees
And pleading

I work to slave
I work to save
Material not for me
Yet I’m buying
And dying

Walking contradiction
Of who I am
Here is my contrition
Try to be the best I can

Love the human race
But even I hate
Sometimes I don’t care
Yet I’m trying
And crying

Animal or man
Change the plans
I understand
Yet I’m confused
And teaching

Walking contradiction
Of who I am
